Inbound Programs

KAIST welcomes competent students from our partner universities of all corners of the world as an exchange student, for one term or one year. With so many courses offered, you will be able to design a study program that meets your interests and needs. You can further your major or minor discipline, or explore a totally different one.

KAIST offers courses on the most exciting areas of science and technology and as an exchange student you are allowed to select undergraduate courses across faculties, as long as you meet prerequisite requirements and provided that there are seats available. (A few areas have courses with limited entry.) More information will be provided closer to the time of course selection.

For those not enrolled in one of our partner universities, there is KAIST International Summer School Program that offers some of the most popular subjects to be taken for credit over an intensive 4 week program. Coupled with a field trip and language courses, your summer at KAIST will be the most productive and worthwhile experience.

Students from institutions outside Korea may enroll into our Visiting Student Researcher Program to come to KAIST for a short period of time in order to fulfill research or internship requirements of their home universities. Through this program, the students can gain experience in an international research environment with top-notch professors and research staff. Check out our internship page for details.

  • Beginning of April for Fall Term In-bound Student Exchange Program
  • Beginning of October for Spring Term In-bound Student Exchange Program
  • Mid-December for KAIST International Summer School

The registration for Visiting Student Researcher Program is open all year around.
