Overview of KISS

Welcome to KAIST International Summer School (KISS)

Since its establishment in 2007, KAIST International Summer School (KISS) has worked faithfully to serve as a hub for cultural and academic exchange between students from all over the world. Throughout the past eight years, KISS has evolved to be become an integral part of the summer experience at KAIST and unique opportunity for students, from Korea and abroad, to interlace a tapestry of academic exchange through creative teaching and learning.

We invite you to come experience innovative teaching and the blending of cultures at KAIST this summer at the 2015 KAIST International Summer School Program. This experience will most-definitely broaden your cultural understanding, deepen your intellectual capacity, and expand your network of friendships. We believe that 2015 KISS will provide a wonderful environment and program that will serve as a catalyst in formulating new friendships and pleasant memories that can be shared around the world.

Mission Statement

The mission of KAIST International Summer School is:

  • Have students and faculty from around the world come enjoy a summer that will broaden their cultural perspective and intellectual horizon. Students will have the opportunity to learn from professors from KAIST and abroad, allowing them to experience different teaching cultures and styles. The classes being offered at KISS will place an emphasis on interdisciplinary studies in the fields of science, technology and design.
  • KISS will serve as a cultural hub for all students and faculty. This will be a great opportunity for students and faculty to make new friends from various cultures, develop new lifelong relationships and network for the future.
  • KISS will serve as an opportunity for students to indulge in Korean language and culture through the intensive language course, extra- curricular activities, and field trips. This will be a great opportunity for students to learn about and experience Korea.
