Application process
As a KAIST student you can study for one or two semesters at an overseas university and earn credit towards your degree through the KAIST Student Exchange Program.
Here is a step-by-step guide to participating in an outgoing student exchange program at KAIST :
- Read the Outbound Exchange web pages thoroughly
- Check application deadlines
- Research your destination: consult the university profiles from our list of partner institutions and obtain references
Material from KAIST's International Relations Team :
- Consider the financial implications of your exchange
- Contact the IRT coordinators to discuss your options based on your research to date
- Complete the online application form for the Student Exchange Program
- Print out the form and get a signature from the head of your department
- Attach the following documents to the completed form :
- - Academic transcript
- - 1 Passport photo
- - Essay of 800~1,000 words in English, outlining why you want to participate in the Program and study plan
- Make a copy of your entire exchange application for yourself
- Submit the forms and supporting documents to the International Relations Team at KAIST by the appropriate deadline
Application Deadlines
The deadline for KAIST students to submit their student exchange applications with the International Relations Team are as follows :
For exchange during the Fall Semester in 2016 :
- September 15, 2016
or exchange during the Spring Semester in 2017:
- March 15, 2016
