EWB-KAIST

EWB-KAIST stands for Engineers Without Borders in KAIST, and it is a non-profit organization with an aim of developing appropriate technologies for the people in need around the world.

EWB-KAIST targets the technical difficulties that the residents of developing countries face in the process of developing their environment and economy. Hence, our long-term goal is to assist the people to spread and take advantage of the ideas and technology. Also, through these activities, we are expecting to foster global engineers who can contribute to this world.

Since the inaugural meeting among the KAIST students and professors in 2012, EWB-KAIST designated a small mountain village in Annapurna, Nepal, called Nangi, as the target area and we have been visiting more than once a year to collect and perform the assignments.

We will continue to work hard every year and communicate with the residents frequently. We are also planning to expand our target area so that we can assist more people in need. We will do our best to enhance the quality of life of the residents and to provide technological assistance.
